| A landscape painter, etcher, and teacher, Anthony Buchta grew up in Iowa and lived and worked most of his life in Chicago. He studied art at the Chicago Art Institute and the Chicago Academy of Fine Art. Buchta was a commercial artist whose passion was landscape painting. He particularly loved the rural landscape in Brown County, Indiana, and, after many painting trips to the area, he eventually moved there permanently. | |||||
